Vehicle intelligence

Every listing site shows you the photos.

We show you what it costs to own, what it can't do, whether it has an open recall, whether it qualifies for the $10,000 loan-interest deduction, and how far the same car is from your door for less money.

What a dealer-funded marketplace will never tell you

Every major listings site is paid by dealers. That is not a criticism of their engineering — it is a description of who their customer is. Six things follow from it.

The out-the-door number

Advertised price plus that state's doc fee, tax, title, registration and EV surcharge. We show the gap.

Open recalls on this VIN

Free federal data. It reduces leads, so nobody surfaces it on a listing.

The same car, cheaper, far away

Identical spec several states over, with the real cost to ship it to you.

Whether to wait

Seasonality by segment. No dealer-funded site will tell you this month is the wrong month.

What it costs YOU to run

Your state's electricity price, your state's EV surcharge, your commute.

A score for the dealer

Days on lot, price movement, and how far the out-the-door number drifts from the ad.

Electric

The federal EV credits are gone. Most calculators still show them.

Sections 30D and 25E were terminated for vehicles acquired after 30 September 2025. There is no $7,500 and no $4,000. What replaced them is a $10,000 annual loan-interest deduction that applies only to new, US-assembled vehicles, and never to a lease.

We test that per VIN, from the assembly plant country in the federal database, and tell you plainly whether a specific car qualifies.
